There is no better life than a life that’s characterized with a constant dependence on the voice of the Lord.
However, this life calls us into a place of sacrifice and living contrary to what is “obvious” in the eyes of man.
As we fine-tune our clarity to his voice, we will hear instructions that will be uncomfortable to obey; God will call you out of your comfort zone.
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Are we willing to get such instructions? When Jesus spoke to Peter in the portion of scripture above, it was a call into the unknown; a call of uncertainty.
This year, the Lord is calling us into places where only his hand can hold us. Uncomfortable places that will point our trust to him alone.
Are you ready to come out of the boat? Are you ready to defy “gravity” and walk on water? Defy the wisdom of man to walk in the “uncomfortable” wisdom of God?
Receive the Grace to Obey Hard instructions! Amen!
